Outre est un groupe de black metal originaire de la ville de Cracovie en Pologne. Actif depuis 2012 il a réalisé l’Ep Tranquillity en 2013 sorti sous forme d’autoproduction d'abord et en cassette ensuite via le label Metal Defiance Productions. Ensuite il a sorti le split Thaw / Outre en 2013 en cassette via Third EyeRecords. Si le groupe est jeune il a quand même dû faire face à la sortie de son chanteur

When I was younger I used to play guitare with a friend of mine, Luca D. I found a demo with some titles that we recorded in 1991. The demo has not title so we fixed it on Demo 1991. Our band named Anarkey. One of this song was The Undead. 
The song is inspired by Vlad Tepes, known as Vlad III, Prince of Wallachia, Dracula too.
The artwork is taken from english wikipedia page aboout Vlad The Impaler (Transylvanian Saxon engraving from 1462 depicting Vlad Țepeș).

Cypriot thrash metallers DARK VOID announce their debut (self-released) EP, titled “Release the Kraken” on April 3^rd.

Calling themselves as “Badass Thrash” and describing their influences “from Slayer to Vivaldi”, DARK VOID are indeed a force to be reckoned with, despite their young age. Listening to their massive thrash sound one would find it hard to believe that the band members' average age is just 17!

This an hommage to a cool and dark hero.
On this song I sing, I play my guitar like it was a bass guitar and I wrote the lyrics. Luca D compsed the music and played the electric guitar.

Atten Ash est un groupe originaire des Etas Unis et plus précisément de la Caroline du Nord. Le groupe sort son premier album The Hourglass en 2012 sous forme d’autoproduction. Aujourd’hui ce même album sort avec une tracklist affichée dans un ordre différent via le label Hypnotic Dirge Records. Et c’est tant mieux puisque le groupe peut profiter du support d’un label pour promouvoir et faire connaître sa musique. Aux manettes du groupe on trouve Archie Hunt qui se charge des voix death, James Greene, fondateur du groupe, qui s’occupe des guitares, de la batterie et du chant clair et Barre Gambling qui gère les soli de guitare et le synthétiseur. Toutes les musiques ont été écrites par Greene et les trois membres du groupe ont géré les lyriques.

[news] OFFAL (Brazil) - ZOMBIE COOKBOOK (Brazil) - Split EP (2015)

OFFAL (Brazil) - ZOMBIE COOKBOOK (Brazil) - Split 7" EP (Death Metal/Gore Metal, February 25th, 2015, Black Hole Productions)

 

OFFAL have to be proved to be quite a force ever since the self-titled debut was unleashed unto the underground - sounds of AUTOPSY meets CARCASS propagated the tunnels back in the day much to the marvel of the salivating gorefiends. Without excessive gore-splatter, the band churned out delicious and meaty death metal with emphasis on killer catchy riffs and flesh-snaring hooks. This latest material is even better, probably the best yet, with clean riffing, upbeat tempo and a throwback to the thrashy sound in the context reminiscent of GHOUL, FRIGHTMARE and BLOOD FREAK. This is a staggering evolution of sound, originally emanating from CARCASS and taking in everything death metal and thrash metal that it could absorb along the way. The inherent Brazilian sickness in the sound is such a plus.

​ZOMBIE COOKBOOK are great a revelation, even for me. Inspired apparently by early DEATH, AUTOPSY and NECROPHAGIA, this is old school death metal with a twisted blessing. This band bypasses the gory territory and yet carries the fetid aura in the sound. The Brazilian dank flavour is intact. The songs are superbly structured, carrying blinding solos and using multiple vocal patterns to keep it intense. Again, there's this thrashy edge that makes the difference and it's not undecipherable brutal/guttural death metal that's taking place here. ZOMBIE COOKBOOK hold a ton of promise and are bound to be added on your mental list of favourite death metal band discoveries. 

 

These two bands are carrying the flame of underground death metal/goregrind and are doing everything right in my book. Both are from Brazil, having members of LYMPHATIC PHLEGM, NEURO-VISCERAL EXHUMATION (OFFAL) and FLESH GRINDER (ZOMBIE COOKBOOK).

It's been a while since I heard black metal with such determination and undiluted passion. Most of the music peddled these days is either too self-conscious or contrived - the flair, the art, so to speak, was missing - until now. BALMOG from Spain, featuring members of reputed underground acts like BANISHED FROM INFERNO, MARTHYRIUM, WITCHFYRE and others, have put together three epic songs, pure and hard-hitting. They are reminiscent of the Finnish and Norwegian black metal scenes, that fiery passion and penchant for doing it in the right way than for commercial acclaim. Musicianship isn't compromised for the sake of the ideals, as the band continues to impress and move souls with the steely vision and discipline for this black metal art. Black metal rarely sounds this satisfying and fulfilling.

The release date of the debutalbum "Stallions Of Steel" is February 27th 2015. The preorder phase will start on February 20th 2015 in our webshop.

PROWLER are one of the most recommended newcomer in the area of NWoBHM-influenced Heavy Metal. With our release nr. 100 we present the first brand from our home state Saxony in Germany.

With „Stallions Of Steel" the Leipzig based newcomers PROWLER just release their debut album on Pure Steel Records. But already with their self released EP „Hard Pounding Heart" from 2012 they got a lot of attention. And also on stage the quartet was able to convince completely.

Straight Heavy Metal, catchy song structures, twin guitar-leads, simple but effective refrains: „Tradition instead of innovation" is the main inspiration of their sound. With the youthful spirit of early Saxon/Maiden-classics and the retro attitude of German newcomers like Iron Kobra and Serpent the Saxons are presenting nine tracks; some of them already could be found on the EP. The clean, melodic vocals of Ronny Dietrich often remind back to the glorious days of NWoBHM, the powerful but basic production also fits perfect to „Stallions Of War". At the moment it might be „hip" for people under 30 to stick back to the roots. But PROWLER are no followers; that's for sure!

Be prepared for a big dose of pure 80s-worship!
